Crafted through a traditional 4-day hand-kneading and hand-stretching method. The dough is carefully aged to draw out the natural flavor of wheat, creating an exceptionally smooth and firm udon that machine-made noodles cannot replicate.
This premium Inaniwa Udon is handmade by skilled artisans at Inaniwa Ginshodo Honpo in Akita, a region famous for one of Japan’s top udon styles.
Each batch takes four full days to produce using the traditional tenai–tenobe method (hand-kneading and hand-stretching). The dough is slowly aged, allowing the wheat’s natural umami to deepen. During the semi-raw aging process, air bubbles inside the dough disappear, resulting in noodles with an exceptionally smooth texture, clean bite, and resilient firmness.
Unlike mass-produced udon, handcrafted Inaniwa noodles have a delicate yet rich flavor, making them a beloved specialty in Japan. The set also includes concentrated dipping soup for an easy, authentic serving experience.
