About This Japanese Ion-Balanced Water Mist
EFSEVEN is developed in Japan using a specially engineered ion-balanced water created through a proprietary electrolysis process. Unlike conventional skincare based mainly on purified water, it was designed around permeability, skin compatibility and daily skin conditioning.
A key characteristic is its osmotic pressure balance: the ion-balanced water shows approximately 107x lower osmotic pressure than purified water, closer to the osmotic environment of intracellular fluid. Internal comparison testing also showed noticeably faster spreading and penetration behavior than the purified water commonly used in skincare formulations.
3 Core Skin Support Functions
- Skincare absorption support: supports the penetration and spreadability of lotions, serums and creams. Used before skincare, the mist prepares skin for the next step with a lightweight, non-sticky finish.
- Ceramide barrier support: joint research with the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Japan University of Pharmacy and Life Sciences found that the ion-balanced water promoted gene expression related to ceramide synthesis in human keratinocytes, supporting the skin's natural moisture barrier.
- Pore and skin balance care: also evaluated in laboratory testing with common skin microorganisms. Rather than aggressively sterilizing skin, the concept helps maintain a balanced skin environment while supporting removal of excess sebum and surface buildup.
