How to Use This Henna Hair Treatment
- Mix 1 part Henna + Herb Mix with 4 parts water or lukewarm water (around 40°C) to a ketchup or mayonnaise consistency.
- Lightly dampen hair with a spray, put on gloves, and apply the paste generously from the scalp through the hair.
- Place tissue or kitchen paper along the hairline and cover with plastic wrap or a shower cap.
- Wrap a towel or turban at the hairline to prevent dripping and leave on for 1 to 3 hours.
- Rinse the paste out, then shampoo. A conditioner on the ends is fine.
- Dry hair thoroughly with a dryer to finish, as color can drip from wet hair onto clothing.
Cautions
Color develops on gray hair only, and the way it appears depends on how your gray hair grows.
Color may transfer for 2 to 3 days if hair is wet, so do not leave hair damp.
Always wear gloves, as the color stains hands and nails.
When mixing, start with water and finish with hot water for a smoother paste; color still develops even if small lumps remain.
