Description

The "KIKU" pattern of Ise-katagami, a traditional Japanese craft, was developed in collaboration with ceramics artist Masashi Yokoi.

Features

This is "Ise-Type Pottery," which was developed in collaboration with ceramic artist Masashi Yokoi.

In Japan, there are numerous traditional crafts using ancient designs and techniques.

Our company has been working to transform these traditional designs into works of art that fuse them with contemporary crafts in a different form. Each piece is carefully finished by hand using ceramist Masashi Yokoi's unique pottery production techniques. By incorporating the dyeing process, which is conventionally done on fabric, into the pottery production process, a new world of work is created.

*Dishwashers and dryers cannot be used.

About AKARI

Traditional techniques become "healing light," a symphony of light and shadow, to the present day.

Traditional crafts are scattered throughout Japan. These are traditional cultures with many wonderful ancient designs and techniques.
We have transformed these traditional designs into lampshades and are introducing products to the world that create fantastic and soothing light spaces.
