Description
This wooden animal puzzle invites children to assemble scattered pieces into the correct animal shapes. The goal is to find the right combination of pieces so that they fit perfectly inside the tray.
By thinking, rotating, and testing each piece, children naturally develop problem-solving skills, spatial awareness, and hand–eye coordination. It is especially recommended as an educational toy for young children, encouraging learning through play.
The animal pieces are made from walnut wood, while the tray is crafted from white birch. Both types of wood are sourced entirely from Hokkaido, the northernmost region of Japan, known for its rich forests and high-quality timber. Each piece is carefully handcrafted and finished one by one in a workshop located in Hokkaido.
The puzzle features a “shiroki” (unfinished natural wood) finish, meaning no final coating or paint is applied. This allows you and your child to fully enjoy the natural texture, warmth, and subtle scent of real wood. The smooth surface is carefully sanded for a pleasant touch while preserving the authentic feel of the material.
Because natural wood is used, each puzzle has unique grain patterns and slight color variations, making every piece one of a kind.
