A pancake mix born in the kitchen from an idea for baby food for my child. Trans fatty acid free, with aluminum free leavening agent, containing Hokkaido buttermilk, and without any flavoring or coloring agents. This mix allows you to make moist, chewy pancakes that are low in sweetness. The package version of the Ultra Mix intended for overseas customers. The product name and photo are inspired by pancakes popular in Tokyo. The illustration on the back displays the preparation method in an easy to understand way.
When introducing the Ultra Mix to overseas buyers, I was told that the package was un-Japanese, so this is a separate package product that I developed. On the back are the product name and concept image of being able to create the pancakes that people line up for in Tokyo's pancake restaurants in your home; and on the front, that it is free of trans fatty acids, something highly recognized by the West. The back shows the instructions with an illustration, while leaving in the Japanese to emphasize its Japanese quality.
Store at room temperature. Expiration date is one year (from date of production).
Add eggs and milk, mix well, fire the batter off in a pan, and enjoy. 200g makes about 7-9 pancakes (serves 2-3 people).
