Our Story
Mizuhiki are ornamental knots traditionally used to adorn envelopes. We pioneered our mizuhiki venture with a series of workshops in New Zealand, with the inaugural session in November 1999. Our workshops, spanning both the North and South Islands, resonated so well that we witnessed repeat attendees, and garnered significant local media attention. This journey illuminated for us that mizuhiki, while steeped in tradition, offers immense creative latitude. We have since channeled our passion, producing and selling innovative mizuhiki items and accessories. Additionally, we provide mizuhiki kits, instruction manuals, and unique, vibrantly colored materials to enable enthusiasts to craft their own mizuhiki creations.Notes
