Each pair is handcrafted in Gifu Prefecture, Japan, using Tōnō Hinoki cypress—a wood celebrated for its natural antibacterial qualities, calming aroma, and exceptionally smooth feel.
The signature split-toe “hanao” straps separate all five toes, promoting circulation, natural foot alignment, and a gentle massaging effect. Wear them indoors or outdoors to enjoy the pleasant wooden texture and to strengthen the muscles that support posture and balance.
Why “LINEAR”
Released in 2025 to celebrate the brand’s 10th anniversary, the LINEAR model features a sleek, straight-lined silhouette for a more active, unisex look. The name also nods to the Linear Shinkansen (maglev train) project near the Saganoya workshop, symbolizing speed, modernity, and a forward-looking spirit.

How to Choose Your Size
Select based on your regular shoe size. For better walking comfort, choose a slightly smaller size so your heel does not hang over.
How to Wear and Remove GETALS
Because of their unique design, it may take a little practice to get used to wearing GETALS. Follow these steps for the best experience:

Toe Placement: GETALS have four front straps (called maetsubo) that fit between your toes. Carefully guide each toe into place.

Loosen the Straps: Before wearing, gently pull and soften the straps with your hands to make them easier to fit.

Heel Adjustment: Also massage the back part of the strap so your foot slides in more smoothly.

Step In Slowly: Place GETALS on the floor, shift your weight forward, spread your toes, and slowly insert your toes into the straps.

Adjust Comfortably: Once your toes are in, the straps can move slightly left or right—adjust them for comfort.

Removing GETALS: To take them off, simply press down on one heel with the other foot and lift.
💡 Note: GETALS are intentionally designed with firm straps to promote toe massage and stimulation. At first they may feel tight or unusual, but most users find that within 2–3 days they begin to fit more comfortably as the foot adapts.
